CoinScope Support

CoinScope by Leech Labs helps you photograph coins, inspect reference evidence and organize a private collection. For help, email support@leechlabs.io. Include your phone model, operating-system version, app version and the action that failed. Share photos only if you want support to see them; never send passwords or confidential records.

Offline use

Manual coin records, albums, wishlist, collection ledger, imports, exports and the bundled catalog work without an account. Camera permission is needed only for taking photos; the system picker lets you choose existing images. The current release setup does not enable cloud accounts or cloud comparison.

Understand a scan

Suggestions are evidence to compare, not authentication or guaranteed identification. The catalog contains 26,652 museum specimen records, including duplicate coin types, and is not a catalog of every coin. Android can compare photos with a bundled bank of 2,050 reference photographs. iOS uses the implemented local text/image analysis and catalog evidence; do not assume Android's visual-reference engine is available on iOS. Check inscriptions, year, mint mark and design yourself. You can save an unidentified coin or enter a record manually.

Worn or dirty coins

Use even light, a plain background and a sharp, close photograph of both sides. Try changing the angle to reduce glare. Keep the entire coin visible. Corrosion and wear can hide details that a photograph cannot recover. Do not clean, scratch or chemically test a coin to improve a scan.

Backups and deletion

Use Profile → Backup & recovery to export a portable backup before changing devices. Store that file securely: it may include private photos and notes. Restore using the app's import controls. CSV and PDF serve different purposes from a complete portable backup. Delete individual coin records or use Profile → Delete local data for the local collection. Remove original camera-roll images and exported/shared copies separately.

No online account is required or provisioned in this release configuration, so there is no live account-deletion service to use. Contact support if an older or separately configured build shows a cloud account. Do not send account credentials. For scanner diagnostics and privacy choices, read the Privacy Policy.

Value and condition

CoinScope does not certify grade, authenticity or a sale price. The metal calculator uses the spot price and measurements you enter. Example values are not live market quotes. Use a qualified numismatist or appropriate professional service for consequential decisions.
